The Post Corner Restaurant on Clearwater Beach for a relaxing breakfast

Our breakfast at Post Corner Restaurant on Clearwater Beach was a relaxing way to start the morning. It was an early Florida beach morning and the patio seating gave us a great view of the Beach Walk along Gulfview Blvd.

The menu was both extensive and varied...but inexpensive. We decided to split the Steak & Mushroom omelet. It came with seasoned home fried potatoes and toast.

It was sunny with just a whisper of a breeze and the smell of clean salt air. There was hardly any activity that early and we could hear every bird singing in the trees near the Post Corner Restaurant.

We were a bit confused about the name, but our waitress set us straight.

She said the owners (since starting in 1980, they've been the same) came from Connecticut, where they had a pizza place right by the post office on the corner in their little town.

The menu on the wall was just a small sample of the many breakfast choices at this great place.

The Florida beach lifestyle means relaxing in the clean salt air for as many meals as possible. The patio seating at the Post Corner Restaurant was an excellent open air venue.

There is also beautiful inside seating at the Post Corner Restaurant, but we enjoy the morning breeze off the Gulf.

We had a nice view north along Gulfview Blvd. The sun was just coming over the restaurant.

We split the Steak & Mushroom omelet with home fries and wheat toast...and we were stuffed. They put a huge amount of each ingredient in that omelet. Look how my half almost takes up the entire large plate.

The Clearwater Beach Walk is wide and smooth. It is great for morning bike rides or walks after a meal.
